FireflyFan4evr writes: on Apr 04 2006 11:02 AM With the steadily declining quality of the Simpson's TV show over the last eight or so seasons, I'm not holding out too much hope this movie will actually be any good. But hopefully it will bring back the style present in the "classic" episodes (Seasons 2 to 7), where the Simpson's was the best show on TV. Still rather see more Firefly and Futurama though. TheIceGhost writes: on Apr 04 2006 11:51 AM In reply to this comment (#833136) I do have hopes for this movie because the Simpsons can still be funny (even in the new seasons); and because this idea has been in the on-goings for years I'd assume a lot has been put iinto the script (i hope)....but yeah I agree I'd rather see more Futurama and Firefly (and or, Serenity II) (Reply to this) |

Banana Kid writes: on Apr 04 2006 12:02 PM I've already said, the movie is the last chance I'm giving the Simpsons. If the writers can't pull it together and make this movie awesome, I'm officially abandoning the show. So they'd better make this fantastic. (Reply to this) |

Ashley__86 writes: on Apr 04 2006 12:28 PM you call youselves Simpsons fans ?! Having literally grown up with the Simpsons (from about 6ish... im now 20), and watched the show religiously just about every night of my life... I can say I'm a dedicated fan. The fact that the show is is entering its 18th season, after 15 years strong, shows I'm not the only one slightly obssessed. But think about it... A Sipmsons movie has been in talks for at least 5 years now. With all that time, and all these conceptual writers on board, this is definately a great thing. And those who mock the show's later seasons... c'mon, you think you could come up with 100% original and funny episodes after 500 some episodes? I'll agree that some are hit and miss, but even at it's worse it beats the shit out of Family Guy. The announcment of a Simpsons movie is simply the greatest news ever. And btw, I actually thought the South Park movie was pretty good. Let's go Homer! (Reply to this) |

Depthcharge writes: on Apr 04 2006 09:30 PM Abandoning the Simpsons? What?? Earlier I've stated that the show has been getting progressively worse since 2000, but I could never imagine abandoning it. I constantly watch all my box sets of earlier seasons when the show was still genious. And yes, I as well have been watching the Simpsons since I was very young. Now at the age of 20, my dream of a Simpsons movie has finally come true. I just hope that the writers will not resort to some unfunny trip to another country, a million guest stars, or altering funny characters (like sobering up Barney for a while... what was up with that?) . Oh yeah, and Family Guy can't even compare with The Simpsons. I can quote infinitely more funny and memorable lines from The Simpsons than I ever could from Family Guy. (Reply to this) |
