Trailer Bulletin: In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale
Prepare to be Bolled over!
by Jeff Giles | December 04, 2007
Discuss Article
The most anticipated new film of January 2008 with the word "dungeon" in its title just debuted a new trailer!

We're talking, of course, about Uwe Boll's In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale. What's that you say? You don't know anything about the plot? Well, let us share the synopsis with you:

Director Uwe Boll assembles a strong cast for this adaptation of the videogame DUNGEON SIEGE. Jason Statham (WAR) plays a Farmer, an average man transformed into a warrior by the death of his son and the kidnapping of his wife (Claire Forlani). This action-fueled fantasy also stars Ray Liotta, Burt Reynolds, and genre favorite Ron Perlman.

This was supposed to come out like last November and it was supposively a 2-part series, one film in Nov. and one in Dec. Well, here's to another god-awful Boll movie.

Wellllll...that is a hell of a lot better than the first trailer. Hopefully he took out the line in the movie "I will have my vengence", which is a copy from "Gladiator". The movie will probably be really cheesy, but none the less, it might actually be entertaining. But then again, it is Uwe Boll. What sucks is, Uwe is a rich guy that decided he wanted to make movies. I am sure, if he just produces, and maybe finds someone with talent (maybe some regular joe that won a local film festival or something), this movie probably would be a lot better than what it is going to be....does that make sense? If he has such a passion at making movies, he should get a professional and watch and learn, then direct and make his masterpiece. I wish I was rich....then I would make a movie....not a crappy video game movie, but something original. Kind of makes me mad the more I type....stupid rich people have to make video game movies and remakes and sequels. Hopefully when the strike is over, these writers will have a few new ideas bouncing around.

Something else that strikes me funny....about a year ago they had a full functioning website for this movie...it was actually pretty cool. Now it says "full website coming soon". WTF!

LMAO, it's funny because that comment wouldn't make sense anywhere but a Uwe Boll forum....hahahahah!

The poster is enough to keep from this. I made the mistake of watching a Boll film in theaters. Some mistakes I repeat, this one I won't.

From the studio that brought you the Lord of the Rings series, comes a movie based on a little known video game that has no hope of being anywhere near as good as the Lord of the Rings.

Yeah I agree, how did Ray Liotta and Statham get sucked into this film? Blackmail? Truckloads of cash? Punishment for some illegal activities?

I'll have to wait until I'm bored out of my mind before I'll watch the trailor, not to mention go see the movie.

Wow. This actually looks like it had a real budget.

My question, though, is: Who the hell is dumping so much cash into a movie that will feature the credit "An Uwe Boll Film"?

And do you have that person's phone number? Because if they hate money that much, I'd really like a new car. And a house. And a three-picture deal! And a bazillion dollars, you know ... just to have.

SURPRISED!!!!! First i read BOLL then almost ignored, then i saw the poster at the top and it looks like a poster for First Knight 2. So almost ignored.

But the trailer looks quite awsome IMO!

Sure it looks like they used footage FROM Lord of the rings so not exactly original, BUT, Where the hell is our next fix of Fantasy comong from? Where the hell is our Hobbit movie?

This film looks like it will at least satisfy my thirst untill the Hobbit, so maybe Ewe Boll has hit on something tantalising? You cant have too many fantasy adventure films so what ever Bolls crimes are, he may have delivered.

Also, I believe its only Americans that love Stratham, from a brits point of view, HE SUCKS! Literally 1 step up from Vinnie Jones.

I will see this movie though.

If anyone here listens to power metal, Blind Guardian is doing a song for this movie. I guess because they are from Germany like Boll and feel sorry for him. But then again most of you guys prolly listen to Yanni and Cold Play so never mind.
