Jesse James Wins SF Critics Over; Into the Wild Leads Critics Choice Noms
Lots of love for Into the Wild.
Just when we thought we'd seen all the year-end kudos we can handle, along come the San Francisco Film Critics Circle Awards -- and the Critics Choice Awards nominations -- to prove us wrong.
Nominees for the Critics Choice Awards were announced Tuesday morning, with Into the Wild leading the pack at seven nominations, including picture, director, writer, actor, supporting actor, supporting actress, and best song. Close behind, with six nominations, is Juno; Atonement, Michael Clayton, No Country for Old Men, Sweeney Todd, and Hairspray each earned five. A partial list of nominations appears below:

![]() on Dec 12 2007 09:47 AM I missed a special screening of Diving Belle a couple of weeks ago. It sure is getting a lot of attention. I did see There Will Be Blood last night and it wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be but none the less it was pretty good. Better than No Country For Old Men but not as good as The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. Daniel Day-Lewis though gave one hell of a performance though and hopefully he'll be recognized for that. (Reply to this) |
