sportzboy698 writes: on Apr 24 2008 11:58 AM Iron Man is awesome, I seriously am looking foward to this movie! Downey knows his heart is in the right place and I wouldn't be surprised if this completely blows away Incredible Hulk. (Reply to this) |

tgibfo writes: on Apr 24 2008 02:51 PM It's kind of a shame that Spidey is booked at Sony for three more pictures - I'd love to see what a make-over at the new MARVEL films would look like. I have no doubt that both IRON MAN and THE HULK will deliver BIG! (Reply to this) |

CoUcH ToMaToE DoUgIe writes: on Apr 24 2008 03:13 PM I still worry about the hulk, but this definitely seems to be Marvel third successful franchise, it's been awhile since they had one ;) So, I can't wait for thsi movie and honestly i think i want favreau to do all our comic book heroes..honestly he and nolan truely understand how to make these movies. Still, i once said that about Raimi and Singer, lets hope that fate doesn't happen to those two guys. Can't wait Iron Man but its still #2 to the Dark Knight (Reply to this) |

baz050 writes: on Apr 24 2008 04:06 PM THIS IS GOING TO BE ONE OF THE BEST SUMMERS FOR MOVIE IN AS LONG AS I CAN REMEMBER. IF ANYONE THINKS OTHERWISE, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I LIKE THE IDEA OF THE CAMEO, BUT I HOPE THEY DO BRING WAR MACHINE OUT IN THIS ONE. DONT KNOW IF I CAN WAIT TILL PART 2. THIS SHOULD BE A VERY GOOD WAY TO OPEN UP THE SUMMER FOR THE DARK KNIGHT. (Reply to this) |

CoUcH ToMaToE DoUgIe writes: on Apr 24 2008 04:12 PM they are not going to bring out war machine out the sequel. and yes this might be one of the best summers ever!! (Reply to this) |

TheCaptain of TeamLoyalty writes: on Apr 24 2008 04:45 PM You know this might be better than the Dark Knight, it is going to be hard to enjoy DK with the death overshadowing the movie. (Reply to this) |

dahluzz writes: on Apr 25 2008 07:04 AM i like how the trailers have been getting consistently better since the superbowl ad. even the tv spots now are exciting. and they were wise to gradually roll out the cast (which is rock-solid, let's hope oscar-winner gwen doesn't botch this a la holmes and bosworth). I mean you new who was going to be in it after a look on imdb, but the posters and trailers intitially put all the focus on downey's stark. as the ad campaign moved forward, the other characters were featured more prominently, especially in the poster shown on this page, which i think is one the better superhero movie posters i've seen. the film looks interesting and well-made (can't say the same about hulk), even if the look is a little too pop for me. As long as the reviews are decent, i'll scope it on week two. (Reply to this) |
|
TheCaptain of TeamLoyalty writes: on Apr 25 2008 05:14 PM Why do the reviews matter dahluzz? Can you not make a decision on your own? If there were less people like you then critics would be out of work and the world would be a much better place. (Reply to this) |
|
dahluzz writes: on Apr 25 2008 10:57 PM In reply to this comment (#1704644) um, for me to make the decision on my own would require me paying $10.50 to see the movie, which i wouldn't do if most of the reviews were saying 'don't bother spending your money.' however, since i'm interested in the movie based on the buzz and previews, as long as the reviews were decent enough, i'd go. what's wrong with using critics to guage what movies to see? not every event picture is worth shelling out dough for and i like to be specific about the movies i see in theaters. you hate critics? well, the t-meter hates you. this may not be the best site for people who think critics are useless... TheCaptain of TeamLoyalty writes: on Apr 26 2008 04:15 PM I go here for movie info, not the critics. Critics are pointless, i am old enough to make my own decisions, i stopped listening to critics once i turned 12 and started making my own decisions. You want a perfect example, look at Fehenheit 9/11, the critics loved it because they are all liberal and actually believed the propaganda, did that make it a good movie? Hell no. People need to stop listening to critics. (Reply to this) |

TombstoneLawDog writes: on Apr 28 2008 07:23 AM I remain cautiously optimistic about Iron Man. I want it to be a blow-out and it's got all the right elements (single most inspiring ensemble casting I've seen since Batman Begins), but I didn't see Zathura (Favreau's other directorial effort) and I didn't like Elf nearly as much as apparently everyone else on the planet. This does look pretty FREAKIN' cool, though.. PLEASE be good Please be good.. Luvneverends; WHATHEFU?! Was that an attempt at humor or viral marketing? Captain; c'mon, dude seriously. Do you NEED to pick a fight, every conversation? I was actually in complete agreement with your first comment about concerns of DK being over-shadowed by HL's death (I tend to think ultimately it won't matter) and then you started in again with the insecure 'PAY ATTENTION TO ME' nonsense. NO ONE CARES that you don't listen to critics or that you started making your decisions at 12-- judging by some of them exibited here, you clearly should have waited a couple of years. Stick to talking about movies and not flaming on others. You might even have something interesting to say. (sigh) but go ahead. remind me how much of a f#g/retard/liberal I am. Knock yourself out, this one's on me. (Reply to this) |

John Z. Delorean writes: on Apr 28 2008 10:20 AM I'm glad they didn't go with Mandarin right away as he is a pretty cheesy character and needs proper attention to get it right. If they messed up the character as they did with Dr. Doom it would've hurt any franchise hopes. I'm down for more Robert Downey and Ironman if this is as good as it looks. Bring on AIM and MODOK for part 3. (Reply to this) |

Johnny Uppercut writes: on Apr 28 2008 05:14 PM I am looking forward to Iron man and what it will mean to the Marvel films. I think this is the thread that is truly creating a Marvel Film Universe. I think it would be great to see heroes from different comics coming together into films. I think the Dark Knight will be a better film but, Iron man will be cool Batmans got a better assortment of villains than iron man. (Reply to this) |
