What kind of extras does the two disc have that the one doesn't?
Posted by: acslaterson on July 22, 2008 at 11:22:49
Um, a whole extra disc of awesomeness!
Posted by: acslaterson on July 22, 2008 at 11:24:31
Hahaha, just kidding man. The single probably only has a commentary or two. The double probably has all of the behind the scenes, making of stuff.

kinda strange this report would come out now that tdk has been released. sounds like someone's trying to cash in on the success of the film to me.

Special Collector's Edition Blu-ray Disc all the way.

According to past reads...Jon Favreau said he was going to pack the DVD with lots of extras. I hope it's a directors cut where the deleted scenes are added directly to the movie. I don't like watching the deleted scenes separate. I don't means scenes like Mr. Fantastic turning his face into Wolverine.

What up SHH! Did I not report to you guys about Iron Man's release date back in late May, early June?
Posted by: Kevin77 on July 22, 2008 at 11:45:47
It's kinda annoying that now all the movies are coming out with both single disc and a 2 disc special edition and you have to pay an extra 5 to 10 dollars just to watch some deleted scenes.

99% of my single disc movies have the deleted scenes and the basics. My special editions have like the making of, sketch books, extra interviews, and behind the scene items (or stuff liek that). I believe it's safe to say the single disc will have the deleted scenes.
Forgive me...I just woke up. :)

Im buying a blu-ray just for this!!

For sure disc one has commentary by Robert Downey Junior and Favreau. They recorded it not too long ago. Pretty sure that might be the only commentary.

Although Batman fanboys are gonna come here to boast and brag, they can't deny that IRON MAN was a verrry cool flick and deserves a sequel thanks to an excellent cast and director. Looking forward to the DVD :)

Fudge That...I wanna know when Dark Knight comes out on Bluray
Iron Man was good and all that stuff...but Dark Knight was just so much better than any comic movie ever to date...

Space Monkey
I would recommend getting a Blu Ray player. I got mine from a neighbor that was moving out of country and he just bought his a month before. He had the receipt and everything else including the box. I got my Sony Blu Ray for $100. I got lucky!
But for movies like Iron Man Blu Ray makes an amazing difference.

Actually I saw it 7 times and I work at a movie theatre...so it was all on the house baby...might see it again later...

Space Monkey,
Oh, there's a Mrs.Space Monkey. Here's what you do...borrow a friends Blu Ray player and watch several movies she likes(in Blu Ray) in hopes she will agree to buy one and than you have Iron Man in Blu Ray! Boo-Yah

You can watch it on any TV but you need an HD-compatible TV to see the benefits of a Blu Ray movie. You can do some research on either http://www.blu-ray.com/ or http://www.cnet.com/.
Cnet will help you with a lot tech review and research.

From my impressions you can't watch Blue Ray movies on reg tv's. You need the HDMI hook ups or the componet cables... That's why i still watch my normal a$$ movies on my normal a$$ tv on my normal a$$ apex player... BOOO YAAA to that.. haha.
:*( god i wish i can afford a blue ray player w/ a sweet 46" Plasma!!!!
Posted by: FireFly's Enigma on July 22, 2008 at 14:30:37
Kill The Bat Man may right about the regular tv. I never had my Blu ray hooked to a reg tv nor did I ever ask. I always thought you could...I may be wrong.
But Movies like Iron Man MUST BE SEEN ON THE BEST, IMO
