The humour is weak and its black, VERY black giving it a limited appeal.

Reviews for Jawbreaker
Lame shock scenes, crucial plot points inserted without setups, and an unsuccessful attempt to exploit the camp value of some actors cast in minor parts are the least of the problems in this black comedy.
The producers of this film, which depicts teen-age girls as an assemblage of negative stereotypes, are female. Can females practice misogyny?
Teenagers, as well as the rest of the audience, really don't need to insulted.
Death and comedy rarely mix, and this tedious and painfully un-funny effort by director Darren Stein is no exception.
Only the soundtrack (the Donnas, Imperial Teen) and the irrepressible McGowan make it fractionally more bearable.
Jawbreaker was better the first time it was released. Of course, it was called Heathers back then.
It's a tired lousy movie, a terrible twosome that deserves your heartfelt indifference.
The most unfortunate thing about Jawbreaker has to be its blatant imitation of 1989's vastly superior Heathers.
Not quite a satire, not quite an homage, Jawbreaker falls into a third category: audaciously unoriginal.
Smells of something trying much too hard with too little to show for the effort.
A fine cast is wasted here and the culprit is writing that lacks the scabrous wit and campy crackle needed to pull this homage off.
For all its posturing, and despite an odd cameo by McGowan's fiance, Marilyn Manson, Jawbreaker is missing anything resembling its own sensibility.
If you are up for a dark teen comedy, you could do much worse than Jawbreaker.
