From 1962-1992, Carson was a staple of American nighttime television, becoming well-known for his ability to connect with his audiences and his quick-witted, improvised quips when written material didn't go as planned. The variety of comedy that Carson was adept as is on display here, with monologues, interviews with a variety of guests, in-character skits, and stand-up.
