Trailer Bulletin: Journey to the Center of the Earth 3-D
Brendan Fraser in hot digital 3-D action!
by Jeff Giles | February 19, 2008

Brendan Fraser is taking a Journey to the Center of the Earth 3-D this summer. Who wants an early glimpse at the action?

Cineplex has posted the first trailer for Eric Brevig's FX-heavy update on the Jules Verne classic, and if you've ever suspected that the Earth's core is home to glowing birds, rampaging dinosaurs, cell towers, and the set from the cart-chase scene in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, give yourself a pat on the back -- you were right all along. Here's a synopsis to get us started:

On a special trip to Iceland, a scientists (Fraser) and his nephew become trapped in a cave after a storm. They soon figure out the only path to safety is through the center of Earth.

Now that you're all caught up on the plot particulars, click on the link below to get a look at two minutes and change of Journey to the Center of the Earth in 3-D!

This 2-D trailer doesn't do it justice.

I saw the 3-D teaser trailer in the theater a few months ago (in front of Nightmare Before Christmas or Beowulf), and it was awesome.

I mean, I think it will be worth seeing because it's 3-D.

Holy crap! Anyone remember Team America with MAAT DAAAAMONN??? I give you.... BRENDAN FRAAAAAZZZUUURRREEE!!!!

Every time i see this guy, he's in a cartoon world with bad cgi and acting that makes Haden Christensen look like Marlon Brando. A remake of the said movie could have been an awsome idea if done properly. This however looks like Spy-Kids4

SUCK!

Well, it's co-made by walden which did narnia, bridge to terebithia and how to eat fried worms.... so, it's supposed to be geared towards kids. I'm not a child. I don't have children. So why would I see this? well.... i'll probably take my little brother. he'll love it, even though i will frown at the mindless adaption of a wicked sweet book that kept me on the edge of my seat when I was 11. I wonder if talented Josh Hutcherson (RV waqs junk.... but he was great in Zathura and Little Manhattan) has a future in REAL movies, or if he'll keep getting stuck in these kiddie-flicks, or if he'll grow up to be another brendan fraser (NOOOOOOOOOO!)
but i hear he's in some R rated movie opposite dakota fanning and jennifer hudson called winged creatures. anybody know anything on that movie's progress?

Yeah, this looks pretty bad. The effects look cheesy. But at least there's hilarious lines like "Shut your trap!" And he says it to a giant Venus Fly Trap! Where DO they come up with this stuff? Oh yeah, they pull out their a**es. And apparently cell phones work in the center of the earth. I want to know what carrier they have!

One is digital, the other isn't. (digital projection vs. film projection)

I did see it in 3-D (before Beowolf) and have to say, it blew me away. So yeah, maybe it IS cheesy. But some of enjoy a little cheese with our popcorn. (G)

And I LIKE Brendon Fraser. He can make the silliest movies enjoyable. I loved him in Bedazzled and both Mummy movies. He's Harrison Ford, lite.

I Think will be the best movie I've ever seen next compared to the old and new Brendan Fraser movies I will see in a long time.
