Typically for Disney, the villains aren't made of very stern stuff, nor indeed is fey spear-carrying Mimi-Siku.

When a stuffy New York executive pursues his archaeologist wife through sweltering South American jungles with pen and divorce papers in hand, he discovers the son he never knew he had--swinging from the vines with his giant pet spider. Reviews for Jungle 2 Jungle
Now if only it was even slightly better than those examples of Hollywood at its laziest.
Aside from a hilarious set piece involving a cat/tranquilliser dart interface and a vaguely entertaining Russian Mafia subplot, this is tired stuff which should have stayed at home.
I for one am sick and tired of the unappealingly unoriginal fare that Disney releases on a constant basis.
Poor Tim Allen looks positively embarrassed throughout the picture, even when he's trying to rescue it.
For all his talent, Martin Short has been consistently snakebitten in his choice of movies, a streak now extended by Disney's Jungle 2 Jungle.
I'm sorry to say that most of the children in the audience ate this crap up, which is just another disturbing sign that America's youth is in trouble.
No one is allowed to think in this movie. Not one single event in the entire plot can possibly take place unless every character in the cast has brains made of Bac-o-Bits.
Yet another silly Disney comedy that is strictly for kids... if you don't mind your kids being exposed to the vulgar material that passes for humor in "family movies" these days.
Simple truths are often the most effective, but in this instance they are only banal and mildly amusing.
Jungle 2 Jungle still finds time to appreciate Mr. Allen's easy way with a child actor, an audience or a heavily tranquilized pet cat.
You'd think someone would have figured out by now that putting a big TV star in a lame movie doesn't make the movie any better.
Roughly half of Tim Allen’s latest comedy is hilarious-stupid, and the rest is monotonous-stupid.
The material is so fowl that even a rewrite by Quentin Tarantino couldn't help it.
Allen just looks like he realizes he is much smarter than this material.
