Consensus: The dinos are as cool as ever, but there's too much of a "been there, done that" feel.

Runtime: 1 hr 33 mins

Genre: Action/Adventure

Synopsis: Paleontologist Alan Grant (Sam Neill) has sworn never to return to Jurassic Park. But he needs funding for his research, so when a wealthy thrill-seeking couple (William H. Macy and Téa Leoni) come... Paleontologist Alan Grant (Sam Neill) has sworn never to return to Jurassic Park. But he needs funding for his research, so when a wealthy thrill-seeking couple (William H. Macy and Téa Leoni) come calling, Grant and his protégée, Billy (Alessandro Nivola), agree to take them on a sightseeing flight. By the time Grant finds out what their true purpose is--to land on the island and search for their missing son--all of their lives are in peril. And Grant's newfound theory about Raptor intelligence will have its deadly proof. Joe Johnston was the right director to take over Steven Spielberg's JURASSIC PARK series. He's experienced with special effects, having worked on the STAR WARS films, while his OCTOBER SKY demonstrates his skill at telling an emotionally involving tale. In JURASSIC PARK 3, with the help of a top-notch technical team and a talented cast (who began filming before the script was finished, improvising much of their dialogue), and a new dinosaur, Spinosaurus, that makes even T-Rex nervous, Johnston has fashioned a rousing adventure with state-of-the-art visuals. Clocking in at a tense 92 minutes, it's the fastest-moving, most action-packed film of the series. [More]

An efficient and surprisingly palatable finale to the Jurassic franchise.

True, the film offers little new, but it's still stirring family entertainment...

It’s not brilliant, it’s rather predictable, but it’s ok; it bowls along nicely and it does make you jump. What more can you ask of dinosaurs?

The dinosaurs are back again, but this time without Steven Spielberg at the helm...and it shows.

This great dinosaur of a movie is shambling towards well-merited extinction.

It lacks the scale, the chills and the wonder of the original, but is more fun as a thrill ride than its sequel predecessor.

An all-action, helter-skelter, don't-forget-to-buy-the-computer-game ride that makes the two previous installments look like models of classic filmmaking.

Mr. Johnston keeps the action and one-liners coming and, before you know it, it's over.

Much darker than the previous films, this third installment feels more like a horror flick set in amusement park than a good sci-fi adventure, though special effects, due to technology advances, are more sophisticated.

As seqüências de ação são boas, mas não o bastante para que ignoremos a fragilidade do roteiro, com seus péssimos diálogos e os personagens esquemáticos.

It might as well be the crappy pilot for a Jurassic Park TV series or a feature version of Sid and Marty Krofft's Land of the Lost.

For a sequel with a Roman numeral in the title, Jurassic Park III is more entertaining than expected.

Milking a Brontosaurus would be easier than milking this franchise any more . . . This pointless sequel is a tepid end (if there is a God) to the series
