Jessica Biel Says "No Thanks" to Justice League of America
Who's next?
by Jeff Giles | September 28, 2007
Blog Article | Discuss Article
It seems George Miller is still looking for his Wonder Woman after all.

ComingSoon reports (via Entertainment Weekly) that those rumors about Jessica Biel being in negotiations to star as the lasso-wielding Amazonian in Miller's forthcoming Justice League of America adaptation were correct -- but she's decided to take a pass.

The search continues. Think you look good in a bustier and gold bracelets? This might be the time to send in your reel.

I think it would be a good thing if they did not have any big name celebrities in the movie. It might cause some conflict with actors wanting more screen time for their character and would take away from the fact the movie is about the Justice League not who played who.

Where can I get some of that crack you're smoking?

Seriously, this project looks doomed.

I agree arendr. I would love it if every single freakin actor said no to this project. The WB is getting into a big damn hurry for this movie. CHILL WB!!! Let Supe's and Bat's run their show and THEN do a JLA.

When a movie can't meet Jennifer Biels standards it must suck to high heaven.

This project has failure written all over it. Ashame...isn't Miller the one who directed the Mad Max films?

I don't mean this in a cruel way but isn't George Miller gay? The last superhero movie I can recall to be filmed by a gay was Batman and Robin. I mean I really enjoyed Babe but who thought he would work perfectly with this project?

OH SHOOT! He did direct the Mad Max films, maybe that is where it came from. All I could think about was Happy Feet and Babe, my bad.

For those of you who don't want this project to see the light of day, I wouldn't celebrate just yet. I'm positive that Warner Bros has five other choices for the role of Wonder Woman, and Jessica's rejection won't slow it down very much at all - much less halt it. They'll just shrug this off an move on to the next actor.

Case in point: iesb.net is reporting that the rapper T.I. is up for the role of the Green Lantern.

We just have to face facts that nothing short of a miracle is going to stop this project. The best we can hope for at this point is for this film to be good, and HOPE that it won't step on the toes of Christopher Nolan's Batman series.

Umm, Holly Jolly, Bryan Singer (the director of the first two X-Men films, and Superman Returns) is openly gay. Didn't you know that?

I cant wait to see this movie and make fun of it. Poor Nolan, he makes a good DC movie for the first time in 20 years and they already want to tarnish it.

wow...future oscar winner, uhm...i mean future 30-year-old-my-career-is-over-i'm-gonna-do-playboy-and-FINALLY-show-em...Biel refuses to take a role? oomph. hopefully she'll keep the weight on and won't go back to the roid's biel. she's hot when she's not on the barry bonds diet

i don't see this taking anything away from the Bale batman, its just not in the same realm. had he been MADE to do this movie, by contract, then yes...it'd suck. but since they won't be putting him in it...it won't damage the better of the two franchises. this is looking to be in the scenario of "desperation" though when you can't even get an actress like Biel to sign on.

oh mercy me! Thank God! Thinking of Jessica Biel in that Wonder Woman outfit was making me cringe! :-s

Angelina Jolie?! :-O uhhhhhhhh.......... NO!

T.I?! Don't know much about him, but if there's someone being looked at as John Stewart, the guy needs to be sophisticated and should seem intelligent...! GLs have a standard you know... (skip Guy Gardner). Besides, Stewart is supposed to be an Architect... so what kind of personality traits would you add to that?!
