The scenery is gorgeous. And the expedition members have interesting stories to tell. There's just not enough time to do justice to everything.

Kilimanjaro is an outstanding example of what large-format films do best. It has a sweeping visual splendor that simply cannot be achieved in any other medium.

Were you to be shown some of the Kilimanjaro vistas, along with the explanation that these are the first transmissions from our interstellar explorer freshly landed on Tau Ceti IV, you might buy it. It's that weird, and that wonderful.
