Trailer Bulletin: Diane Lane & Thomas Jane in "Killshot"
by Scott Weinberg | September 06, 2006
Discuss Article
What happens when an average Jane catches a glimpse of an infamously brutal mafia hit man? Well, I'll give you three guesses what happens next. It involves inept cops, numerous guns, and a protective husband.

Click here to check out the trailer for "Killshot," which is currently scheduled for an October release.

Based on a novel by Elmore Leonard, "Killshot" stars Diane Lane, Thomas Jane, Mickey Rourke, Rosario Dawson, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Johnny Knoxville. The director is John Madden, best known for less bullet-ridden fare like "Proof" and "Shakespeare in Love."

I actually thought it looked like a fun ride. The cast alone will likely get me to the theater on opening weekend. (C'mon...Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Mickey Rourke as hitmen, it's gold!)

WTH, how could they fuck this one up?
Killshot is by far one of my favourite Leonard novels, and something it looks like it's been horribly miscast. Mickey Rourke as the Blackbird? The Blackbird is supposed to a Native American in ethnicity. Tom Jane, a superb cast but seriously, how hard was it to make this film properly.
