It’s a portrait of the male bravado, an anthem for struggling actors everywhere, an underdog tale that outperforms your average sports movie. It’s also very funny, seamlessly told and a great piece of entertainment for anyone open to new experiences.

Last Man Running is a raw, personal comedy that follows Richie (Rick Gomez) as he escapes his impending nuptial responsibilities for one last transgression as a bachelor. Pursuing his boyhood dream, Richie teams with his brother J.J. (Joshua Gomez) and spends one, long New York summer in a desperate attempt to rise to the top of America's last great gladiatorial sport...the demolition derby.
Launching a four month filmed improvisation, director Damon Santostefano (Three To Tango, Bring It On Again) and co-creator and actor Rick Gomez (Band of Brothers) penetrated New York's demolition derby subculture capturing this brutal sport and its warriors as the subjects of a documentary, resulting in a wild hybrid of fantastic fact and comic fiction.
Rick and the actors also drew their family members into their film, tailoring their intimate relationships to fit the narrative. -- © Rocket Bread Pictures
