Concerned about the safety of his young actors, he sets out with his son Puya to ascertain their survival. Following a thoroughly rural route, the director and his son begin a quest not unlike the one taken by the protagonist in WHERE IS THE FRIEND'S HOME? Non-actors, villagers and locals speak with the director along the way, discussing the disaster and its meaning. While the characters remain uncertain of whether the destination will be reached, Kiarostami creates a compassionate examination of determination as their journey unfolds. [More]
