Dominic Monaghan Gets a New Pet
A man and a woman walk into an animal shelter...
His character may have gone to a watery grave in last season's Lost finale, but don't shed any tears for Dominic Monaghan -- the Lord of the Rings star has lined up his next film project.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Monaghan has signed on for the lead role in Edna McCallion's Pet, a "psychological thriller" being prepped by MGM. From the article:
Monaghan will play Seth, a man who bumps into his old high school crush and quickly becomes obsessed with her. He takes her captive underneath the animal shelter where he works but soon suspects that his old flame is not who she seems to be.
Perfect casting, eh? Not many actors are able to combine a "nice guy" vibe with a "possibly pulls the wings off flies while muttering to himself" vibe, but Monaghan is one of them. No word on who'll be playing the object of his affections, but the Reporter says Pet is "set to begin shooting in the next few months."

Gimy writes: on Feb 08 2008 10:04 AM cowboy, thats still a spoiler genius. somebody SPOILED a big ordeal, hence...SPOILER. if somebody hasn't seen Romeo and Juliet and you told them the ending, its still a spoiler no matter how old the story. get it? i usually wait until the entire series is over before watching a show(thank you dvd's) and i didn't need to hear dude got killed off. thanks for the spoiler alert... she's not who he thinks she is? jesus...this has Maury Show written all over it. she turns out to be his best friend, Mike who's "changed", from high school instead of Michelle...the chic he had a crush on. nice... Herberbaly writes: on Feb 08 2008 12:37 PM Yeah, I am just now on the 4th disc of season 3 of LOST, so I OBVIOUSLY have not gotten to the point of Charlie's death. Thanks for the spoiler, jerks. It's a spoiler no matter what... It's like growing up in the 90's and always hearing "Luke, I am your father!" It doesn't entirely ruin the experience of "Empire Strikes Back" but imagine how mind blowing it could have been if the surprise was there... I'm pretty upset now, but hey, it's not really a spoiler, or it doesn't matter because the episode aired almost a year ago. I like to watch all of the episodes in one after the other, so I wait for the DVDs to go on sale and pick them up. That doesn't mean that I should have the show spoiled for me does it? Apparently it does.... (Reply to this) |

Ender7406 writes: on Feb 08 2008 02:35 PM So yeah, I've just gotten into the series and I'm on Season 2 now. Thanks a f***ing lot for the SPOILER WARNING!!! And screw you haters who say it's our fault for not seeing it yet. DVD sets are expensive, and in this failing economy, sometimes food is just more important than a box set you'll watch twice at most and then try to get a few bucks for at a Disc Replay. It's already aired,so *** me if I didn't take the time to watch it. That'll show me for getting my wife pregnant and daring to actually have a baby during the season finale. Yes,I know. Should have went with the abortion. Silly me. Also, keep up the great job of spreading rumors and stealing movie news from other websites! (Reply to this) |

Pleasuretown writes: on Feb 09 2008 10:06 AM There's nothing about this movie that really stands out. Maybe Dominic can make it watchable. He's a great actor. And yeah it was a spoiler, but if your that behind on Lost it's your own fault. The 3rd season came out in DECEMBER! And the other seasons came out the following september after the season finale. You had time to catch up. Go to blockbuster and RENT it. Get it from NETFLIX. Go to ABC.com and watch it for free. Don't get all pissy about it. You had the opportunity. (Reply to this) |
