Frankie Muniz Aims to "Stay Alive"!
The Hollywood Reporter brings news of a rather drastic career switch for the young Frankie Muniz. Known throughout the universe as "Malcolm in the Middle" (or perhaps as "Agent Cody Banks"), Mr. Muniz went in a different direction when he signed on for "Stay Alive." The movie "follows a group of young friends in New Orleans who reconnect for the funeral of a friend who died while playing a video game called 'Stay Alive.'" Starring alongside Frankie will be Jon Foster ("The Door in the Floor"), and Samaire Armstrong ("Not Another Teen Movie").William Brent Bell ("Sparkle and Charm") will be directing, and he'll be working from a screenplay that he and first-timer Matthew Peterman collaborated on. Principal photography on "Stay Alive" gets underway next month in the bayou.
