Controversial Aussie director Geoffrey Wright (ROMPER STOMPER) paints another dark portrait of barely-sympathetic, disaffected youth. Joe (Aden Young) is a misfit with absolutely no social skills, who works in a grocery store during the day but rules the streets at night in his perfectly kept-up car. He befriends his co-worker Dazey (Ben Mendelsohn), a womanizer who shares Joe's passion for cars, while his live-in girlfriend suffers physically and mentally for his hobby. Meanwhile Savina (Tara Morice), a Satan-worshipping witch, tries to catch Dazey's eye while fending off the hopeless Joe's advances. Joe's obsession with cars, which begins as a way for him to forge human connections, ends up driving him to the brink of insanity and painful solitude. [More]

News
The entire story is very Shakespearian in its depiction of tragedy touching the lives of all four central characters with varying degrees of destruction resulting from it. No one comes out at the end unscarred and some relationships are ruined forever.
One of the strongest things in Metal Skin's bag of tricks is its un-Hollywood unpredictability.
