The show was a huge success in the fifties, and Merle became a major star of the new television medium. Structured around a Vaudeville format, the show highlighted Berle's flair for comedy, gags, and outrageous costumes. In 1966, "Uncle Milty" returned with THE MILTON BERLE SHOW, based on a similar format. Filmed at the Hollywood Theatre, the skits in this best-of collection include guest appearances by comic legends Ethel Merman, Danny Thomas, Jackie Cooper, Mickey Rooney, Peter Lawford, and Zsa Zsa Gabor. This release includes more than eight hours of classic comedy with one of television's entertainment legends. [More]
