Simon Pegg Joins the "Mission: Impossible" Squad
Looks like everyone's favorite British zombie-killer will be joining Tom Cruise's spy squad, says The Hollywood Reporter. Simon Pegg (aka "Shaun of the Dead") has joined the already-massive cast of J.J. Abrams' "Mission: Impossible 3."
"M:I-3" boasts an ensemble cast that also includes Philip Seymour Hoffman, Ving Rhames, Laurence Fishburne, Billy Crudup, Michelle Monaghan, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Keri Russell and Maggie Q.
Said Abrams: "I've been dying to work with Simon since I saw 'Shaun of the Dead.' His comedic skill is remarkable; he's able to be hysterically funny while always seeming 100% real, even when he's killing zombies with vinyl records."

mizzoucritic writes: on Oct 11 2005 08:34 AM Yeah I'm exctied about MI:3. Pegg will probably provide some of the humor that action films feel obligated to have. Anyway, Abrams knows how to blend thoughtful narrative and exciting action sequences. Let's hope this is better than MI:2. (Reply to this) |

UweBoll writes: on Oct 11 2005 11:50 AM MI:1 was brilliant yet MI:2 was terrible, who would have thought John Woo could direct such a lame film (but then not sure of much control he did get over the film) The cast in here is intriguing, hope JJ Abrahms will bring a new twist to it (Reply to this) |

It. writes: on Oct 11 2005 05:12 PM MI was brillant I didn't realize the first time I viewed it. Now, after buying serious book about De Palma and this movie, I watched it again and was amaze by the movie. In the second, the action is great, Cruise is hot and on fire. So that did it for me :D (Reply to this) |
