After being adopted by a police officer and his wife, who have just lost their son in an accident, Altaff discovers that his new adopted father is the man in charge of the operation that killed his parents. He runs away, where he is taken in an educated by a fierce militant leader (Jackie Shroff) dedicated to achieving Kashmir's independence. After ten years of training, Altaaf sets out on a destructive mission--which is halted when he encounters a boyhood sweetheart who causes him to reconsider his violent ways.
