on Dec 16 2008 10:50 AM I get really tired of ignorant reviewers writing about their white guilt sensitivities, and JR is a typical example. What you won't find in this movie is "PC" propaganda and revisionist history. The fact of the matter is the Abanake's and other hostile natives of that time were murderous, uncivilized savages who didn't discriminate between men, women, children, infants when on the warpath. You also won't find "PC" military tactics. The Rangers didn't try to make the hostile natives like them or "win their hearts and minds". The ROE (Rules Of Engagement) were simple and effective - cut off their escape routes, destroy their supply and support, and shoot them dead. That was what happened, like it or not, and it worked.
