Reviews for The Object Of My Affection
Portrait of a determined young woman's attempt to create her own unique extended family.
Suggests a Nacho Cerda exploitation piece scored by the world's most optimistic organ grinder.
Adding to the poignance is the terrific, natural chemistry between Aniston and Rudd.
Sends an audience home happy, all while picturing a community where tolerance is the standard.
At the core... is the college dorm debate question: Can a man and a woman live and love together without sex? The answers ... in a typical dorm room are ... as interesting...
Director paces movie too languidly and dulls most of the emotional punches with the result being a film bordering too often on blandness when its strength is its risk taking.
The film effectively drives home the point that, when forced to choose, most people - even nice ones - will chase their own dreams instead of fulfilling someone else's.
This is a more than mild laughter – on par with and what many viewers and critics will compare to last year's My Best Friend’s Wedding
Like other aspects of the movie, this portrait of urban life doesn't ring particularly true; but if Hollywood fantasy is what you're after, Hytner's romance is as watchable as most others this season.
Consegue se sobressair em meio a uma enxurrada de romancezinhos 'água-com-açúcar' que têm sido produzidos nos últimos tempos.
