I mean, I understand the value of using actors who are typecast in diverse roles. It can bring unknown talents to life. But that's a batch of actors should have never worked together. on May 26 2006 02:18 PM In reply to this comment (#836706) At the risk of being crucified on this board, i'm going to come out and say that i belive The Rock has the potential to become a huge talent in the film industry. He's got the looks, he can do physical humor, and he's really funny. I actually thought that "Southland Tales" would be a huge turning point in his career because it seemed like a dark comedy, something i think he would be perfect in. Hopefully a director might actually cast him one day for his acting abilities rather then his physique(Gridiron Gang looks like it might be decent). (Reply to this) |
on May 27 2006 09:41 AM id like to see it, i guess. but i just read in the washington post that when it comes out in theaters, its gonna be cut 90 minutes, so a lot is going to be missing. i think it was originally 2 hours and 43 minutes (Reply to this) |

My review from Cannes will be up this weekend, and there were a lot of things in it that I really liked...so hopefully Kelly can keep all those good things and make it more cohesive and comprehensible...
