No, not the spooky "Halloween" stalker who wears a mask throughout the story ... the kid! Yep, Rob Zombie has chosen a diminutive devil named Daeg Faerch to play the youthful version of the legendary babysitter killer.

• Emily Mortimer has joined the cast of Brad Anderson's crime thriller "Transsiberian," replacing Samantha Morton who was forced to withdraw from the production after suffering an injury.

• Charlize Theron and Jason Bateman will join Will Smith in "Tonight, He Comes" a superhero drama being directed by Peter Berg.

• Patrick Stewart reportedly will voice the role of Max Winters in Kevin Munroe's CG animated "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles."

• Cary Elwes is set to star in the thriller "Psych 9," for director-producer Andrew Shortell.

• Paramount Pictures has commissioned a script for a third "Tomb Raider" movie, though no agreement has yet been made to bring back Angelina Jolie to star as Lara Croft.

• The thriller "Tenderness" has been picked up by Lionsgate for U.S., U.K., Australian and South African distribution. The film stars Russell Crowe, Jon Foster, Sophie Traub and Laura Dern, with Australian John Polson directing.

• Jimmy Fallon and Sharon Stone will star in the indie drama "Eliot Rocket," with Patrick Sisam making his feature directing debut.

• Finally, RT would like to remember Joseph Barbera, one half of the famed Hanna-Barbera animation team that brought us such cartoons as "The Flintstones," "Scooby-Doo," "Tom and Jerry," and "Yogi Bear." Barbera died on Monday of natural causes at 95.
