PTAnderson.com, repository of all things PTA-related, brings us the early word on the celebrated filmmaker's next potential project: 'Paul never ceases to surprise us & it seems his next film will most likely be......."Oil!" "Oil!" is (a) 1927 novel by Upton Sinclair that PTA has adapted. This would be his first film not based on (one) of his own original screenplays. It's a tale of of scandal, intrigue and politics.'JoBlo vouches for this website's reliability, and mentions that the director himself is in contact with the site owner. And for what it's worth, it also seems that Daniel Day Lewis is penciled to star in "Oil!" This would be Anderson's first film since "Punch-Drunk Love." He's also directed such favorites as "Boogie Nights" and "Magnolia."
