Reviews for Raiders of the Lost Ark: The Adaptation
Raiders of the Lost Ark: The Adaptation is a loving tribute to the original film.
Given that copyright wrangles mean it may never get released, Adaptation is a covetable, Indy-worthy treasure in its own right.
The Adaptation is the least cynical movie I’ve ever seen. Each shot is a moment of wonder and discovery.
"Adaptation" is a treasure of comedy, marvel, and accomplishment that fails to surface much these days, and I cheer Zala, Strompolos, and Lamb's determination to keep their efforts afloat
The pic's real delight is its sheer resourcefulness, as stunts and FX are re-created on a shoestring in one of the most elaborate amateur features ever made.
[T]he unintentionally hilarious moments are the real gold, such as when a pudgy teen Strompolos says, "It's not the years, honey...it's the mileage."
The Adaptation the sort of film, like the one which inspired it, that easily worms it’s way into your heart. The love isn’t just on the screen, it’s all around.
You forget you're watching a skillful teenage re-enactment and start seeing it simply as Raiders of the Lost Ark, with different faces, and seen through fresh eyes.
