Almost.Famous writes: on Jul 02 2009 10:43 AM Pisses me off their still making Resident Evil movies. Games were so damn good but all the movies have sucked big time. (Reply to this) |

JUDGE DREDD writes: on Jul 02 2009 10:55 AM I rarely say this, but.... This NEEDS a complete REBOOT! And so does Tomb Raider! Maybe someone that actually played the games could direct them. ??? (Reply to this) |

D Effin W writes: on Jul 02 2009 12:05 PM I got sick of this movie franchise once the second one debuted. I honestly don't remember her character ever being much like Superwoman. But I think it was the score that sold me on the first one. Manson's take on it was insane. And Michelle Rodriguez! (Reply to this) |

De4ective Detectiv3 writes: on Jul 02 2009 12:14 PM I remember when they were trying to get Goerge Romero to do the first one, but those plans fell through. Probably because even Romero could see it was an action movie in disguise as horror. Whatever they do, I hope there is a bigger emphasis on the horror aspects of the next movie, and hopefully they get rid of Milla Jovavich, she is just annoying. (Reply to this) |

M.C.P. writes: on Jul 02 2009 12:34 PM Sounds good to me, Milla kicking Zombie ***/Umbrella Corp. = sexy and entertaining! Ya, Manson's score was great on the first one! Pretty sure Milla will be involved, since shes married to P.W.S. Anderson. Hope Mike Epps (L.J.)will be back as well, in some way.. "Wheremybitches?!" (Reply to this) |

ColinTheCimmerian writes: on Jul 02 2009 12:56 PM I thought the first one was pretty good, and the sequels were moderately entertaining if nothing else, though I enjoy them just for what they are rather than as any sort of adaption of the games. I didn't even really play the games but even I realize that the movie series has deviated from the source material to the extreme. I do think a fresh take on the series, one more like the games would be good, just because I like quality zombie movies and I think a more faithful Resident Evil film would be one. I'm not opposed to another Alice movie on principal, but I question what they could really do with it that would be all that interesting. In the third movie the world pretty much came to an end; not sure what could come next that wouldn't be totally ridiculous. (Reply to this) |

Tyrant writes: on Jul 02 2009 01:13 PM Oh great, my childhood gets raped yet again. Thanks Anderson! Judge Dredd/Almost Famous, I agree with you. How he raped Nemesis, and the entire series for that matter, is just... no words can describe how bad the movie series is. Come on... super alice gorilla nipple clones going to hunt down Wesker? HOW DID THEY COME UP WITH THAT! *rolls eyes* (Reply to this) |

DivineCC writes: on Jul 02 2009 01:41 PM CtrlAtlDestroy, I think they kicked Romero off of the first one because his script wasn't enough like the first game, which is ridiculous considering how the movies turned out. (Reply to this) |

crystalwhiteeyes writes: on Jul 02 2009 02:19 PM If any game needs to be put in a movie it's Grand Theft Auto. But no...I don't like any of the Resident Evil films. I agree with Judge Dredd, this franchise needs a remake, but in about 10 years or so. (Reply to this) |

collex writes: on Jul 02 2009 02:24 PM Pretty loved the first one, but the third one was crappy crap. Do we really need a 4th one? The answer is... NO. (Reply to this) |

collex writes: on Jul 02 2009 02:37 PM In reply to this comment (#2520578) I'm against a Grand Theft Auto movie because the GTA series as nothing in wy of story, characters or genre that would make it stand out as a GTA movie and not a generic car chase/ gansgter movie. What makes GTA so distinctive is the gameplay which can't, of course, be reproduced onscreen. If any game should be made onscreen, it should be FarCry 1. And no, I've never heard of a Uwe Bol version... (Reply to this) |

Adnan A. writes: on Jul 02 2009 03:16 PM Mafia would be a better movie than GTA Mafia had better characters, better story, better music, better gameplay, it was much much better in everything! (Reply to this) |

Armondoh S. writes: on Jul 02 2009 03:26 PM Yet ANOTHER stupid installment of a franchise that has sucked since the first sequel.... Heck the original wasn't even good.... (Reply to this) |

Poor_Frisco writes: on Jul 02 2009 04:15 PM I thought the most recent one was the best one yet so I'm not looking forward to a new installment, but not dreading it either. (Reply to this) |

crystalwhiteeyes writes: on Jul 02 2009 05:20 PM @ Collex Actually, I think you can make a GTA movie. You take the character Niko Bellic to avoid any confusion as to "just another gangster movie." You take his character and all the characters in the story and blow it up on screen. I mean, if thats your thought process then Resident Evil is just another zombie movie and has nothing to do with the video game, right? The fact that it has some of the Resident Evil characters within the game, it translate to us that the game is now a movie. Same thing can be done for GTA. Although, I've been preaching this since day one...if your going to make a video game a movie, why not do it as an Animation film. Pixar does wonderful things with the films they release, and we've seen way too many live-action films from video games fail time and time again. That's the way I would do GTA. @ Adnan A. I totally agree! For years I've been saying the same thing. I love the first Mafia game, and I'm looking forward to Mafia II in October. (Reply to this) |

Glenn W. writes: on Jul 02 2009 07:31 PM great, another watered-down action/sci-fi "zombie" film that rips off elements from other, better films. but i guess as long as slo-mo bullets being shot from big guns and Milla Jovovich's boyish nude body attracts a decent-sized audience, more Resident Evil movies of this ilk will continue to be made. Chris B. writes: on Jul 02 2009 09:09 PM the Resident Evil movies were a guilty pleasure for me except the second one. I say bring it on. (Reply to this) |

Jon J. writes: on Jul 02 2009 11:09 PM I'm actually ok with the RE movies. Sure, they could be a whole lot better, but it's not offensive to me at all (and I'm an avid videogamer and I've played all RE games). I guess the movie series is a guilty pleasure of mine. (Reply to this) |
