Check Out Milla's New "Evil" Pic
by Scott Weinberg | June 30, 2006

Big fan of pretty girls and zombies? Then you probably already dig the "Resident Evil" franchise. (Well, the first flick, anyway.) IGN FilmForce has snagged an early pair of "RE3" pics that are heavy on the girls and light on the zombies. For the combo, we'll probably have to wait until "Resident Evil: Extinction" hits theaters next year.

From IGNFF: "Resident Evil: Extinction is again based on the wildly popular videogame series and picks up where the last film left off. Alice (Milla Jovovich), now in hiding in the Nevada desert, once again joins forces with Carlos Oliveira (Oded Fehr) and L.J. (Mike Epps), along with new survivors Claire (Ali Larter), K-Mart (Spencer Locke) and Nurse Betty (Ashanti) to try to eliminate the deadly virus that threatens to make every human being undead... and to seek justice. Since being captured by the Umbrella Corporation, Alice has been subjected to biogenic experimentation and becomes genetically altered, with super-human strengths, senses and dexterity. These skills, and more, will be needed if anyone is to remain alive."

Click here for the pics. (And why isn't Sienna Guillory's character mentioned in the plot synopsis? Uh oh....)

Why, God?!
A genetically-altered Milla Jovivich? Yeah, they're desperate. This'll probably suck. Just like the last one.

Why can't they just make a movie of "Resident Evil 4"? And get someone GOOD to direct them!!

because Re4 aint better from the rest...do you think the change in atmosphere, enemies and game control scheme would translate into a genuinely better movie eventhough the story remains subpar?? The reason people love that game so much is that they changed the way you move the dude around. at least there's some fun in the movie series, and you gonna love the fake commercials.

there are other more serious horror films out there for you enjoyment...

Yes. Now I see the light. Oh, thank you. Praise Jesus. *sigh* Right.
I would like to see RE4 as a movie because it'd be different, it MIGHT actually be scary, and it's better than some of the current RE games ("Outbreak", I'm looking at you!).
So, please respect others' opinions. And Paul W.S. Anderson cannot direct a flaming pile of dog s**t. And we all know how easy that is.

Oh, and almost all horror movies I've seen suck. And that's A LOT of them.

Is Ali Larter supposed to look like Linda Hamilton from T2: Judgment Day or what?

I dont know about this franchise, all i can is that its different from what i expected. i remember playing the games and thinking the movies were to play like dawn of the dead or land of the dead or something. But i guess it works better for its audienece as more of an action film than horror.

A genetically-superpowered Milla Jovivich fighting zombies. Interesting, i don't know if it will be good, but interesting.

Wait a minute...
Wasn't Milla's character genetically enhanced in the last film? Why all the surprised responses?

repetitive much?
"Since being captured by the Umbrella Corporation, Alice has been subjected to biogenic experimentation and becomes genetically altered, with super-human strengths, senses and dexterity. These skills, and more, will be needed if anyone is to remain alive."

they used this same sentence in RE: Apocalypse's description (and "dexterity" is an absolutely AWFUL word to use in a movie description, it just sounds horrible). so this one is going to pretty much be "same shit, different movie" with stupid superpowered Alice grandstanding and hogging the spotlight AGAIN from the ones who are supposed to be the stars of these movies - the characters from the games. what dreck. we can only hope Milla's character turns evil and Jill or Claire FINALLY blow her to bits with a rocket launcher. i've lost hope with this franchise and that's the only way i'd even consider spending $8.50 on this movie.

I swear that Milla Jovovich must have the most enticing, golden puss*lips in the known universe to keep getting work in Hollywood. Because she is the most talentless hack that's ever drawn air. Aside from Paul Anderson, I mean.

Well, it doesn't matter anyways. I won't see it. But, you know, it's not like these movies are much worse than the games, plotwise.

LOL. the 1st one was not too bad. I mean who can forget Milla showing her dime size "Erasers" during the shower scene.

I mean seriously, no matter how bad the third one will be, it will never be as bad as Ultra "crappy" Violet.

Jill Valentine Dead?
OMG!! is jill valentine gonna die?!? They can't fuck this up, cause in the video game's Jill doesn't die, Actually the last time I saw her was in "Resident Evil: Nemesis" and in her diary this is what she say's "August 7th

Two weeks have passed since that day. My wounds have been healed, but I just
can't forget it. For most people, it's history now. But for me, whenever I close my
eyes, it all comes back clearly. Zombies eating people's flesh and the screams of
my teammates dying. No, the wounds in my heart are not healed yet...

August 13th

Chris has been causing a lot of trouble recently. What's with him? He seldom
talks to the other police members and is constantly irritated. The other day, he
punched Elran of the Boy's Crime department just for accidentally splashing
Chris's face with coffee. I immediately stopped Chris, but when he saw me he just
gave me a wink and walked away. I wonder what happened to him...

August 15th

Midnight. Chris, who has been on a leave of absence for a "vacation," called me
so I visited his apartment. As soon as I walked into his room, he showed me a
couple of pieces of paper. They were part of a virus research report entitled as
simply as "G". Then Chris told me that, "The nightmare still continues." He went
on to say that, "It's not over yet." Ever since that day, he has been fighting all by
himself without rest, without even telling me...

August 24th

Chris left the town today to go to Europe. Barry told me that he would send his
family to Canada and then he would follow Chris. I decided to remain in Raccoon
City for a while because I know that the research facility in this city will be very
important to this entire case. In a month or so, I'll be joining with them
somewhere in Europe. That's when my real battle begins..." and in the Epilogues this is what it say's "Jill Valentine

After escaping the city, Jill set out to join Chris Redfield. However, all she found
was an empty hideout of Chris's. On the floor was Chris's knife. Jill left without
hesitation because she firmly believes that Chris is still alive. She will search for
him until she finds him. Then they can go and put an end to Umbrella..." So Paul W.S. Anderson better not kill her off!
