Reviews for Scorched
The comedy is extremely broad and there's a slight air of desperation to the whole thing, as if the film is trying too hard to be quirky and likeable.
It feels completely pointless, despite some entertaining sequences and gifted performers.
Screenwriter Joe Wein has smartly wired these three bizarre personal stories into a raucously satisfying triumph of good over evil.
The word 'quirky' should be stricken from the English language if Hollywood doesn't stop churning out comedic romps that try too hard.
