This blend of computer-animation and live actors-as-paleontologists recreations makes for an educating and kid-pleasing trip back to the age of the dinosaurs.

On an entertainment level, this film is a surefire treat for the armchair paleontologist and child alike. It also has the look and feel of a project that was meticulously researched, as befits most National Geographic projects.

This Imax documentary is not your typical monster movie. It's a computer-animated look back at a time when the world was covered by oceans that were ruled by giant creatures. Think Jurassic Park without the people.
