Haley Joel Osment Plans a "Giant" Comeback
The Hollywood Reporter brings us some news from an old (young) friend: Haley Joel Osment plans to return to the big screen in "Home of the Giants," an indie drama written and directed by first-timer Rusty Gorman.
"Set in an Indiana town that lives for basketball, the story follows a teenager (Osment) who idolizes one of the town's basketball stars. The teen and his best pal are befriended by the player, who ends up being anything but the hero they thought he was."
The independently financed coming-of-age story goes into production later this year in North Carolina.
Mr. Osment's last movie was 2003's "Secondhand Lions."
