vitajex writes: on Sep 22 2008 07:39 PM Wait a minute? Is Thandie Newton supposed to be pregnant with Simon Pegg's child? There's a fantasy film for you... Crank stank so I guess Pathology will... um, be... Crapology? Newsflash: It's not enough to have shocking taboo-breaking acts in your films. The story has to be halfway decent too. (See 'Caligula', or rather, DON'T!) Ah, 'High School Musical', now there's a franchise I can get behind... preferably at least 5 miles behind. HSM seems to represent everything bad about the Disney company. It's uninspired, watered-down milquetoast. And this is coming from someone who idolizes Walt. I didn't see any mention of 'Foot Fist Way' but I'll be watching that tomorrow. Unless the video store runs out of 'Sex and the City' and all the Martini-chugging, Prada-wearing cougars mistake 'Foot Fist Way' for a fetish porn... (Reply to this) |

Jen Yamato writes: on Sep 22 2008 11:03 PM Oh, vitajex...I think you're being too harsh on HSM. That Zac Efron kid is a cutie. So tan...such well-kept eyebrows...so polite, yet so good at singing and dancing! Sigh... (Reply to this) |

blattman writes: on Sep 23 2008 12:02 AM In reply to this comment (#2041780) I concur with Ms. Yamato! I really enjoyed the first two HSM films and will see the third on the big screen. Yes, hollywood cliche, but still fun. Jerry Ortega is a great director and choriogropher. And yes, Zac is dreamy! Don't worry Bruce, until he stars with Zooey. (Reply to this) |

Random_Jake writes: on Sep 23 2008 05:48 AM Zac Efron is a cyborg. Disney built him because they ran out of real kids who were willing to look stupid...... (Reply to this) |

TheBoondockShorts writes: on Sep 23 2008 06:50 AM This has to have been the worst summer for renting movies. My local video store called to make sure I didn't die. October is long overdue. P.S. that list of bad actors should have had Freddie Prinze Jr. as it's patriarch. He sucks so bad he inadvertenly relaunched Brian Austin Green's career. (Reply to this) |
