The rest is just breezy propaganda for American high school fascism.

Reviews for She's All That
This is a movie aimed at insecure and immature pre-teens, but gives these impressionable youths hideous role-models and messages.
She's All That asks us to accept the ridiculous premise that the beautiful Laney could hide her good looks simply by wearing glasses and keeping her hair up.
Okay, there are a few chuckles, but I can count them all on one hand.
It's wretchedly predictable, inconsistently funny and not always well-written. It's enjoyable enough, but a truly good movie it's not.
No surprise here: Laney gets a makeover and turns into a babe-and-a-half. Zack realizes what a manipulative jerk he is, and Taylor returns for the predictable standoff with Laney for his affections.
She's All That feels like it could have been made by a team of septuagenarians from the glory days of American Intl. Pictures.
To say this isn't original is to understate the matter. However, although it's questionable whether this story has ever been done well, that hasn't stopped filmmakers from repeatedly trying.
Once, just once, I'd love to see a teen flick that doesn't send out a message to young girls that to be acceptable, you have to conform. I liked the artist girl much better before.
This misbegotten comedy makes Beverly Hills 90210 look like a piercing documentary on high school life. To make matters worse, there's no trace of originality or freshness here.
Considering that all of us (even, one surmises, the young viewers smack in the hairlines of this movie's demographic gunsights) can guess where this story is going, why is the last third of this film so unrelentingly slow?
The dance stops eventually, and then those darn kids start talking again. Way to ruin the mood.
Only Prinze, who has the ethereal, gentlemanly quality of a young Anthony Perkins, gets enough screen time to really make an impression.
It is amazing that they can swipe a classic tale like [Pygmalion] and still add nothing but derivative tack-on flava to it.
I gotta admit that it's kinda enjoyable, in a sugarcoated l'il story for a rainy afternoon way, but still...
As dull and droning as the fluorescent lighting in your old study hall.
Factor in a lack of sparks between Prinze and Cook, and one is left with a romantic comedy with little in the way of romance.
