Pretty stoked about Bourne because I really enjoyed the other two and this one looks to be a great addition to the story.

as far as the reviews go for The Simpsons, i'll believe them when i see it. i'm having a hard time believing it's going to be good based off of the really bad trailers. i also noticed that the user reviews all seem to have come from people who have yet to see the movie. that's pretty misleading!

Movies like this often get glowing reviews and turn out to be bad. But I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I've almost no doubt that Bourne will be good, it's been a solid series up to now and the trailers certainly look like it's going to stay that way.

I'm skeptical of the Simpsons reviews. I'd love to believe the movie recaptures the spirit of the show from a decade and a half ago, when it was at its peak, but I just don't think the writers are capable of that. The trailers are decently funny, though, so maybe it'll at least split the difference and be funnier than the show's been the last few years.

well, simpsons movie tomatoer thing is down to like 75 percent now.... and i remember tokoyo drift started out at an undeserving 83 percent :P..... so if it stays fresh i will have high hopes for it even though i will probably go see it anyway just to see how it turns out.

Transformers started out high, then nose-dived. Simpsons is starting out lower than Transformers, with plenty of time to nose-dive.

I love Transformers, I love the Simpsons. But I REALLY doubt the critics will show Simpsons any mercy. They sure didn't give much to the robots.

Hopefully big name critics will honestly review THE SIMPSONS, and not give it a nostalgic pass ala DIE HARD. The summer thus far has been pretty bad in terms of memorable films. I can only think of (4) RATATOUILLE KNOCKED UP SICKO & RESCUE DAWN. I saw DIE HARD and wondered if its the same one people were raving about, then I walked out an hour into the film. Perhaps Ive grown out of the summer blockbuster market, and need more than an occasional wise crack and explosion, to keep interest. But I prefer to think that I grew up when Hollywood produced worthwhile entertainment, sure it was formuliac at times but it still was exciting. Now its all about the money and mass marketing, the film comes second in the form of glossed over regurgitation from past glories.

Well your opinion means nothing because you are the only one who does not like the trailers. Now answer this, how are the Simpson trailers bad yet Knocked Up was good? You want to talk about a bad movie with no good jokes you should talk about Knocked Up.

P.S. Whoever said that Sicko and Knocked Up are two of the best movies of the year have no idea what they are talking about. How is a movie that is not funny and a propaganda piece good movies?

Well, since they brought back the same writers from it's peak time I at least think they're capable of doing that good. This is encouraging to me. Usually movies that start well then nosedive are ones meant for a specific audience. That way the people/critics who really want to see it go and watch and rave about it, then normal people get suckered in and end up walking out with the "What the hell was that" look on their faces. I don't think that'll be the case with the Simpsons. I hope they just did a hoodwink on us and saved some of the best material for the movie instead of giving it all away in the trailers

Of the reviews I read, none of them seemed to acknowledge the shift the series took during the Scully (read: current) era; rather, they commemorated "The Simpsons" as a whole, and thus seemingly remarked that the movie was good based on those standards. So, for those who don't favor the newer seasons, I'm not sure you can be excited quite yet.

semi-anxious to see the Simpsons this weekend but like ALL comedies...i never trust anybody else's opinion so the meter means nothing. i too, thought the trailers were rather bland and thrown together just to let us know yes...hey...its THE simpsons. i laughed at one but, most of em were pretty bland. BUT, i'd rather have that than a trailer that gives away EVERY funny joke in the movie

hearing about bourne though is relieving after he griped about how old he is in that interview. probably taken out of context but least we know the movie shouldn't be a bad end to the trilogy, unlike some of this summer's 3rd's...

okay, fine. i'll bite. the trailers for Knocked Up didn't impress me either, although the movie did. but you won't seem to care because your only "factual" argument is that you think Katherine Heigl is ugly. way to go.

the trailers for The Simpsons Movie are bad. i laughed only once or twice out of all of them. but i'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised by the movie, just as i was by Knocked Up.

In the books anyway whenever he went out to kill someone or got into sticky situations he adopted the Bourne persona. He actually thought of himself as two separate people. The person he really is, David Webb who is an ex-Army vet who teaches college and Jason Bourne who is just a killing machine the CIA created and he could flip between the two like clicking a switch.
