AntonChigurh writes: on Oct 31 2008 08:23 PM Danny Boyle is an underrated director. He made 2 of the most influential film's of each decade, Trainspoting in '95(on my top 5 favorite's ever)and 28 days later in '03(because of 28 all movie monster's run now). Slumdog problly wont play in a market near me, so i'll be sure to pick it up on dvd. (Reply to this) |

rockclmbr6 writes: on Oct 31 2008 09:42 PM The lack of Chicago screenings is severely depressing...the movie looks fantastic, and although I live almost over an hour away from Chicago I'd definitely make the drive (I did for Children of Men and Pan's Labyrinth, and those totally paid off). I guess if anything I'll just have to wait until it comes out. *sigh* (Reply to this) |

the train writes: on Nov 02 2008 07:16 AM @ jokerboy: i only went to one sneak preview, and it was for the island. but there were a lot of people who showed up early and waited for the thing to start. they DO overbook so it really depends on how many people the theater can seat and how big the movie is. i have no idea what kind of enthusiasm Boyle's movie will generate or how big the venue is, but showing up at least 1 hour before is probably a good precaution. maybe earlier, depending. Heather F. writes: on Nov 03 2008 02:26 PM I was lucky enough to see this movie at the Toronto Film Festival this year, and it is awesome! It is hilarious and heartfelt, and I will be seeing it again in theatres as soon as it gets released. Don't miss it! PS It's not a Bollywood movie, there just happens to be a Bollywood star in it.
