Ned Brainard has already invented "flubber," a gravity- defying goo that makes objects float. When the bureaucratic government drags its feet in funding flubber further, Ned returns to his lab and concocts from scratch a gaseous form of his earlier creation that can create dry rain. One thing leads to another, and soon his college's fledgling football team has begged Ned for some flubber to use in its big game, and he agrees. Before long, the running back has a never-before-seen play -- in which he rushes past his rival's defensive linemen... and over their helmets! [More]
