Spring Breakdown follows the vacation adventure of Gayle (Amy Poehler), Becky (Parker Posey) and Judi (Rachel Dratch), three thirty-something best friends who've always dreamed of being fabulous, but never grew out of being geeks. So when Becky gets the opportunity to unofficially chaperone her boss' daughter, Ashley (Amber Tamblyn), to the college spring break destination of South Padre Island, the ladies decide to try and turn their tragically un-hip lives around and party with the beer and bikini set. Through keg-stands, hook-ups and foam parties, Becky, Gail, Judi and Ashley are about to discover that it's better to stand out, than to fit in. --© Warner Bros. [More]

Reviews for Spring Breakdown
When I did laugh, it was because of some weird little twist one of the actors gave to a line reading or some bit of physical comedy they tried. It wasn't because the movie itself was actually witty.
A very bad genre exercise starring some very good comedic actresses who really should change agencies soon.
They're not reinventing anything here, but it's a better than sitting through The House Bunny if you're out there looking for a healthy dose of comedy girl-power.
Spring Breakdown rides a very fine line between total trash and intelligent provocation, mall multiplex dreck and Troma-esque satire via the grotesque.
Is "Spring Breakdown" as good as "Mean Girls"? Or even as good as "Baby Mama"? No, not quite. But it's funny enough to be in the same neighborhood, and that makes it well worth a recommendation.
