He becomes a hero due to the advanced technology he wields, and is drawn into Rena's quest to find the Sorcery Globe, through which the many troubles of Expel can be dispelled. In VOLUME THREE: MAGICAL MOONLIT FLOWERS, Claude and his allies land in the Lacour Kingdom, where they agree to help Precis, a clever inventor girl. Precis' best friend is gravely ill, and the only cure is the Metox flowers found deep in a dangerous desert.
