New Star Trek XI, X-Files 2 Stills Revealed!
See the new old Enterprise! And Mulder and Scully walking down a hallway!

In a mind-boggling convergence of sci-fi pre-release buzz, new stills from Star Trek XI and X-Files 2 were released yesterday -- and since we love nothing more than a good old-fashioned geekout, we've got 'em all right here for you to look at.

First things first. Who wants to see a shot of the new U.S.S. Enterprise? You do? Well, take a look at this (click to view a hi-res version):

The X-Files 2 shots are a little more mundane, but hey, not everything can be a picture of one of the world's most famous imaginary spaceships, right? Take a look at our old friends Mulder and Scully in sequelriffic action -- and to see hi-res versions, just click on any of the stills:

Both movies should be really good, and will likely be surprise big hits. The hype is building. I think the love for the original crew of Star Trek and the original cast of X-Files is still strong and remains untapped.

Both the Star Trek and X-Files shots look like they could have been taken from previous shows.

I agree with Dracus.

Note that the 3rd X-File photo both characters are looking directly into the camera, smirk on Duchovney's face. I seriously doubt the movie will be played for that kind of camp.

(Though, my favorite X-Files shows involved Alex Trebek and Jesse Ventura as Men in Black, as well as a "Modern Day Prometheus."

Is it my imagination or does Gillian Anderson actually look YOUNGER than she did on the show ... ten years ago? If she's had some work done ... it was some pretty darn good work!

Wow! The new Enterprise looks good. I can't wait until the stills of the new crew come out. Maybe this movie won't be a disappointment after all.

i know very little about how these things actually work--but the x-files 2 photos look like they were staged in order to create internet buzz, rather than having been taken from an actual scene. i think we're supposed to be excited because mulder and scully will be in the movie--contrary to the bogus reports that went around (and were quickly debunked) stating otherwise. this is just a guess, though. i'm sure some people here know more about these things than i do.

If you go see Cloverfield, there's a new Star Trek teaser playing with the movie.

The Enterprise looks good, but I hope we don't get another 20-minute mind numbing tour around the ship in drydock like we did in Star Trek: The Motion Picture.
