In STAR TREK: NEMESIS, based on the STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION television series, the USS Enterprise is gearing up for a challenging mission. While responding to a call from the Romulan neutral zone, the crew comes across a signal on the nearby planet Remus. It turns out to be Data's (Brent Spiner) less advanced brother, B-4 (also played by Spiner). Soon thereafter, Picard is confronted by Shinzon (Tom Hardy), who makes an offer of peace on behalf of the Romulans. As Starfleet enters into negotiations, they realize this treaty may have a twist. Shinzon presents himself as a clone of Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart), and as a simultaneous friend and foe. Though the baby faced Shinzon wears an intimidating shiny black metallic suit of armor, and spits his words through a nasty sneer, he is clearly no match for Picard. Meanwhile Data has a nifty side project debugging his clone, whose intentions are not as innocent as they may seem. As tension mounts between the crew of the Starship Enterprise and Shinzon's Reman minions, resulting in riveting high-tech deep-space battle, a vital sacrifice must be made to save the day. STAR TREK: NEMESIS's shocking ending will leave viewers hanging, anxiously awaiting the next installment in the series. [More]

Reviews
The outcome is as professionally crafted as ever, but the material feels learnt by rote.
A movie that blandly goes where too many Star Trek pictures have gone before.
It doesn’t deliver anything new to the series, and even fans might find parts distinctly slow, but it finally hits most of the right buttons.
Hardy's pout and baldie glare are high-quality stage-trained British Hollywood fiendishness and, like the Borg Queen, he seems to have taken his fashion tips from Clive Barker's Cenobites.
'How many more voyages can this limping but dearly-loved franchise survive?'
A cheapo space battle that has all the cool allure of a disco-dancing Dad.
It simply doesn't have the sharp inventiveness and insight we usually associate with the franchise.
A movie that blandly goes where too many Star Trek pictures have gone before.
Tinkers around with an intriguing premise but with little creative facility for dialogue or structure...[splits] the difference between fans and neophytes, impressing neither.
If you're a fan you'll be satisfied, if not ecstatic, but it's doubtful that this movie will win any new converts.
'Nemesis'? Try 'NUMBesis,' and fight nodding off during the first half.
... The science fiction franchise that has been an institution since ... the late 1960s may be starting to show its age.
How much more of this can we take? Nemesis is a decent film, and Trek fans will love it. But enough is enough!
Infelizmente, há muito tempo a série deixou de ser sobre seus personagens e passou a priorizar os efeitos visuais – e o roteiro do sempre medíocre John Logan, com sua trama datada e seus péssimos diálogos, só piora a situação.
Well, there goes the theory about the even-numbered ones all being good.
