Pfeiffer Not So Bad in Stardust
A pair of witchy roles in two of this summer's biggest flicks.

The previews for Stardust show Michelle Pfeiffer as the big bad villain. She's the old witch using evil magic to stop the hero from rescuing the star. But she's asking for a little forgiveness, for you see, she's just one of many in the graphic novel fantasy.

"Even though my character is sort of being talked about as the villain of Stardust, everyone is a villain in Stardust," she said. "I'm probably the ugliest villain in Stardust, for sure, and the oldest because I age. I'm 5,000 years old or something ridiculous like that."

So reserve your judgments until you see her whole performance, because she did her darndest to make her character well-rounded. "I think as fun as these characters are to play in the beginning, you don't want to fall into the trap of just going out and being mean because mean people don't think they're being mean. Mean people think they're completely justified in their outbursts or their comments and the truth underneath it all, they're fighting and angry. They feel like the victim, as twisted as they might be, so that's also why it's so interesting to play those because you kind of get to figure that all out."

Adapted from the Neil Gaiman novel, Stardust will hit theaters August 10. Meanwhile, catch Pfeiffer playing another baddie -- Velma Von Tussle -- in Adam Shankman's Certified Fresh Hairspray.

Michelle Pfieffer will always be wearing a skin-tight, cat suit in my spank bank. That said, I find her to be a remarkable actress. Seriously, she can play a mean ***** like nobody else.

In reply to this comment (#968227)
She squeezed a whole lot of talent into not much leather in Batman Returns. Plus I had a giant kindergarten crush on her after Ladyhawke.

Damn! I just checked to see what age she was on IMDB. She is 49 y.o. and looks hotter than a lot of girls half her age.

Love Michelle...she's one of the hottest MILF's ever.

STARDUST is gonna suck. You know it's bad when the trailer makes ERAGON look good.

I half-expected Bobby DeNiro to say, "Hey, I'm a pirate...are you talkin' to me?"
