The film's brevity is due to sacrifices in character, not plot, and that's a shame, since it wasn't exactly the chaos of Lilo & Stitch's narrative that made it so ultimately charming
It is missing a great deal of the original movie’s heart... This one’s more sitcom-y, less endearing, a little bland.
While it’s primarily going to find its biggest audience amongst children who will enjoy the raucous and goofy action and quotable jokes, there are also plenty of sly references there for the die-hard fans of Lilo & Stitch.
[It was] like watching water boil: A long, tedious bore that finally started to heat up, only to evaporate. Just like the first.
Less substantial than the original, but still quality family entertainment that’s light-years ahead of most of its competition for the eyes and hearts of pint-sized viewers.
