The day only gets progressively weirder and becomes so ridiculous that it does not seem to be reality. Adrienne Shelly who has starred in several of Hal Hartley's movies (TRUST, THE UNBELIEVABLE TRUTH) wrote, directed, and played the lead in this dark comedy which shows the influence of Hartley as well as that of Woody Allen.
