The film is so well paced that it's an honest to goodness multiple viewer. In fact, it had more appeal to me on a second viewing, mainly because I missed some sneaky stuff the first time around.

During their martini-fueled odyssey, the duo and their buddies explore an altogether new vernacular while struggling with images of machismo, self-esteem, relationships, and, of course, sex. Lead actor Jon Favreau based the script on his and his friends' real-life Tinseltown adventures. [More]

Reviews for Swingers
Not particularly insightful regarding male pattern loneliness...but it is damn funny to a guy whose been there.
The movie is sweet, funny, observant and goofy with a small "g," which means you don't get paid, but at least you don't have to wear the suit.
Jon Favreau has created what amounts to a comedy with a National Geographic twist, a charming, almost documentary account of the habits of the North American human male in the wild.
Favreau's script and Doug Liman's direction are what makes this little tale come alive.
The acting is fantastic from everyone, epsecially Favreau and Vaughn: Favreau shows great comic flair as the neurotic, down-on-his-self-esteem guy; and Vaughn is just, well, "money" (word for cool in their clique).
It has an energetic, snappy script, punctuated by countless great lines, a strong ensemble cast, while Doug Liman’s direction is fresh and alive.
