Beating out several other interested parties, Universal Pictures has purchased screenwriter Stephen Belber's ("Tape") new spec script, which is called "The Power of Duff." According to The Hollywood Reporter, the story is about "a local newscaster in Rochester, N.Y., who finds himself at the center of a spiritual drama." Which means that this story most likely has nothing to do with A) Hilary Duff, or B) Homer Simpson's favorite beer.
