on Oct 20 2006 09:01 AM I'm hoping for Nick Stahl to be in it again though. (Reply to this) |

on Oct 20 2006 09:10 AM Could care less about Nick Stahl, or flat-chested fugly Claire Danes. Those roles are so shallow anyone could play them. My only wish, when they finally do end this franchise, is Arnold makes a cameo when he first gets sent back in time. That would link all the films together....and then end the series forever. Unlike other sci-fi series, these films have remained pretty decent through all three. Even the Cameron-less part 3 was fun and had some amazing action. (Reply to this) |

on Oct 20 2006 09:13 AM Way to go. I was always hoping this series would evolve beyond a Schwarzenegger vehicle. There's so much that can be done with it. I say abandon the whole John Conner storyline and go with something radically different. As long as we don't stray into any titles with "VS." in them. (Reply to this) |

on Oct 20 2006 09:15 AM Sounds like something besides the roles is a little shallow. (Reply to this) |

on Oct 20 2006 11:02 AM Attention Wal Mart Shoppers!! Just arrived in our baragan bins fresh from the empty cinemas; the Arnoldless Terminator 4. (Reply to this) |

on Oct 20 2006 11:53 AM Abandon the John Conner storyline? That's what the whole thing has been about!! This one has to show how John rose to power. I mean, the 3 other ones were really PREQUELS to the actual war; now were about to finally get there (i hope, anyway). Yeah, I hope Nick Stahl comes back he was good. Don't really care about Claire Danes. It would be cool if Arnold made a cameo at the end (of not necessarily this one, but the series) and went back in time to the begnning; it'd be a nice closer. on Oct 20 2006 12:10 PM In my mind, the Terminator series lives and dies with James Cameron. Although part 3 wasn't bad, I felt it was unnecessary and kind of a rehash of Terminator 2. Arnold is too old to participate in these movies and only made T3 because his career was in the gutter and needed a hit movie. Plus, the studio was more than willing to milk the franchise. I don't see any creative reason for the Terminator series to continue. How many times can you do a story about a terminator trying to protect John Connor from another terminator? I know some of you say the series can focus on Connor's rise to power, but I don't think the story would be interesting or compelling enough to warrant a feature-length film. There are some movie series that only have enough story for one or two films and the Terminator series is one of them. The studio should do the right thing and let the franchise rest in peace. We don't need any prequels or sequels. (Reply to this) |

on Oct 20 2006 12:29 PM Isn't there some Terminator series coming out? The Sarah Connors Chronicles. That may be a little too much terminator (Reply to this) |

on Oct 20 2006 05:07 PM Claire Danes is a hotty. Not a fugly. No Ahnuld. Too bad, I doubt he's gonna be the Governator for much longer. (Reply to this) |

on Oct 20 2006 09:48 PM He'll be bach... deh hell he will! Cameron should've stopped after the first, since the second film breaks the rules from the first and wasn't nearly as exciting. (Reply to this) |

on Oct 21 2006 12:10 PM In reply to this comment (#846957) Oh SNAP Donkeytron. I'm just sorry you got to say it before me :) Oh, and yet another movie I have no interest in seeing. Gee I must be really out of touch with what people want becuase most of these sequels/remakes I'm hearing about sound just.... dumb. (Reply to this) |

on Oct 21 2006 06:22 PM Yes, flat-chested and FUGLY! I said it. Claire Danes is one of those actresses that if she were just a normal person, you wouldn't give her a second look. Into this category, I also lump Kirsten Dunst. (Reply to this) |
on Oct 21 2006 08:40 PM i think this movie should be about the war between human and machine with john conner being a character but not a main part of the storyline, and i hope it is like that, nick stahl was good enough but i thought they already said that he wasant coming back because this one will feature an older john conner but whatever, i still think that terminator 3 should have been about the war instead of an introduction. (Reply to this) |

on Oct 22 2006 12:05 AM Arnold or not, this is another franchise that should bite the dust, since it's already reached the point where it bites. I agree with the other comments that the only real intrigue left here is how monotonous morose, flat-chested Claire Danes continues to find work. Although I suppose if scrawny little Keri Russell can be a Mission Impossible agent, Dakota Fanning could turn out to be the next Terminator. (Reply to this) |

on Oct 22 2006 03:30 PM As long as its not John Cena as Robert Patrick was suggesting (Reply to this) |

on Oct 22 2006 07:02 PM Ron Burgandy speaks the truth Kiristen Dunst is unattractive. I don't know what it is, but she is wholly unappealing. Maybe it is her teeth. (Reply to this) |
|
on Oct 23 2006 11:36 AM Maybe this sounds crazy but if the're going to do a Terminator 4 WE NEED MICHAEL BIEHN AS KYLE REESE, i don't care if it's too old or retired, but Kyle is a neccesity in the future war between mankind and machines. Arnold is not necessary (but still needs a cameo), but there's one one person to play Kyle Reese and that is Michael Biehn (Reply to this) |

on Oct 23 2006 12:45 PM In reply to this comment (#846969) Man you guys are harsh. Maybe Claire Danes isn't any Pamela Anderson, but come on, she can be a good actress . . . T3 wasn't her shining moment, I'll admit, but didn't you all like "My So-Called Life"? I thought that was the most realistic high school drama I've ever seen. She's only "morose" because too many shallow dogs like you have criticized her and ignored her talent. It's true she hasn't done much lately . . . maybe she's recovering from implant surgery to satisfy you drooling Neanderthals. As for Dakota Fanning as the new Terminator, that's definitely a good idea, but personally I'd rather see Linsey Lohan as the unstoppable robot killer with perhaps Hillary Duff as the other robot, the protector. Let's watch them incinerate each other for the good of humanity. (Reply to this) |
on Oct 26 2006 01:53 PM It always bothered my that Arnold was in all of them. It isn't really smart to keep on producing an assassin that looks exactly the same every time ya know. It'd be like, "didn't we blow you up a week ago?" Gimmie some Hunter Killers and those flying this and the exoskeletons blowing apart humans and I'm there (Reply to this) |

on Oct 30 2006 08:56 PM IMHO I think part 3 was great. It wasn't in league with the first film but it certainly stands up next to the somewhat bloated and sloppy (although still spectacular) part 2. Granted, the robot protector vs robot assassin action was fairly recycled from a story point of view it was excellently staged, and the way that the end of the film set up John Connor to be the leader of the human resistance was superb. When he's down in that bunker and the sh*t is going down all over the globe and all the panicked voices come over the radio and we realize that he becomes the leader of the survivors because he's the only person in the world who knows what's going on... that's just great. And the ultimate irony is that, had the Machines never sent a Terminator back in time to kill him in the first place, he would never have known and he probably would've died along with every one else. That's some great plotting in my book and it really brought the whole series full circle for me. As far as a fourth pic goes, I'm not too concerned with Ah-Nuld's departure, but I can't imagine what they'll do with it that will bring a fresh perspective to the story. I'm expecting a two hour version of the flash-forwards from the first film and really that's about it. If they fill it with some good action and effects it might be a decent way to kill an afternoon. Hopefully it will be more than that, but I'm not holding my breath. Oh, and as to the Claire Danes argument, I certainly find her to be attractive and talented, but even if I didn't I still wouldn't understand the rude and hurtfull language used against her in a public forum. Did she do something mean to you? It's called common decency people, let's get some. (Reply to this) |

on Dec 14 2006 07:32 PM "And the ultimate irony is that, had the Machines never sent a Terminator back in time to kill him in the first place, he would never have known and he probably would've died along with every one else." Ahhhh... but things WOULD have turned out the same way, even if all the time travelling stuff never happened. They explained it all... Connor and whatsherface would've wound up together much earlier (the kissing in the basement thing), and he would've learned about SkyNet, etc, because of her father. I thought that was a particularly deft and brilliant bit of storywriting. They resolved the paradox of what would've happened if the Terminators hadn't set him on the path. (Reply to this) |

on May 04 2007 07:25 PM In reply to this comment (#846969) might be a good idea tho I do like the idea of dakota fanning being the next villain. after all she got that strange, scary, eerie looks and she`s not a bad actress either. A terminator is a machine designed for infiltration, being unsuspectingly deadly, dakota could fit the role.. why not? I would cast her as the skynet core, as this movie would probably be the last in the series. anyone, tell me what u think about this (Reply to this) |
