We Have a New Sarah Connor!
by Scott Weinberg | November 08, 2006
Discuss Article
Remember when we told you that some folks were turning the "Terminator" series into a weekly TV show? Well, they still are -- and they hired a really attractive actress to play Sarah Connor.

From Variety: "Lena Headey has landed the plum leading role in the Fox pilot "The Sarah Connor Chronicles." Project, from Warner Bros. TV, continues the "Terminator" movie franchise storyline by focusing on Sarah and her son John, as they fight attackers from the future in present-day Los Angeles. Headey takes over the role made famous by Linda Hamilton in the first two "Terminator" films."

You'd probably recognize Ms. Headey from her roles in "Imagine Me & You," "The Cave," "The Brothers Grimm," "Ripley's Game," and next year's "300."

The initial "Chronicles" will come from director David Nutter and screenwriter Josh Friedman.

TV series? Whaaaaaaa? That's cool I guess, but I never even knew they were going to do this. Just don't do a crappy job.

I really don't see how this will fit in with the timeline of the movies.....?

Is it going to be set between 1 and 2, or 2 and 3?? That's all that could work really, since Sarah's no longer around in T3. And even with having to come to that conclusion, judging by what is said in movies 1-3, you'd think there weren't that many chronicles so to speak of in between.

They're totally going to wreck the Terminator movies timeline with the show.

Who cares? The Terminator movies are so overrated anyway.

What? Overrated? Do you watch sci-fi movies? Granted the third one sucks but T2 is in the top 5 of alltime great sci-fi movies. Also the first one broke new ground in the genre like never before and got Cameron noticed in Hollywood so that he was able to make Aliens which is also in the top 5. I'm excited but I have my doubts about the tv show.

I didn't really give a crap about this show, but I love Lena Headey so I'm definitely going to watch it now.

I watch House.... Thats it...I don't flipping care. And T2 is not a top fiver on ANY list. It was ok...maybe good...but worthy of a TV show....NO. But... looking at TV and what is on, can't say it surprises me. Grading on a curve it might be a decent show. I won't watch it, but I don't watch much(House).

Nice try, but I think I'm gonna have to go with the 'bookish librarian' comment too.
