Fourth Terminator Needs a New Title
It'll be tough to beat Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins, but we can try.

Perhaps the future isn't ready to begin after all.

ComingSoon reports that the fourth installment in the Terminator saga, previously known as Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins, is now in need of a title again. The report doesn't give a reason for the change, but it won't be an unwelcome development for fans of the series, many of whom have bellyached about the McG-directed sequel's unwieldy name since it was announced.

Title or no title, the fourth Terminator is still aimed at a May 22, 2009 release date, so all parties involved would do well to put their heads together and come up with a new name. How about giving them some free advice, RT faithful? Let's hear your list of potential new names for T4!

What was wrong with the original title rumored?

Terminator: Dawn of the Future

It's not exactly poetry but it works just fine.

If you want to separate this trilogy from the last then just call it Terminator Salvation and give the sequels a subtitle.

crysta...you could have said that for 3, but 4 could be decent...mainly because of Bale. it really can't be any worse than 3 was...

other than it sounding as stupid as the new bond title...maybe its the whole "begins" thing and they didn't wanna rip off batman begins considering their star is also in the batman franchise.

I have an idea for a title: "Terminator 4: We Want Your Money" or perhaps, "Not Another Terminator Movie!"

How about "Terminator 4: The Musical"?

Honestly just be happy that Dwayne Johnson isn't playing the titular bot as rumored years ago when Arnold said he would not return as the character.

How about just "Terminator" and just have sly stallone make cameos throughout.

Terminator Apocalypse Now
Terminator Extinction
Terminator Annihalation
Terminator Wars
Terminator A.I.

Btw, why was the second film of this series called Judgement Day, when Judgement day didn't even happen in the movie.

Never have I felt as powerful as I do, right now. I firmly believe that the sheer, monolithic hatred and visceral, pulsating contempt and evil I have been channeling non-stop towards this title and everyone responsible for it is part of the reason for this change.

..either that or the people making this film realized entirely on their own that it was the most emasculating, pathetic title ever attached to such a badass franchise.

Either way, I am happy.

Another thing I didn't get was Arnold is a machine so why does he show signs of aging in each movie? Isn't there botox in the future!?

Terminator Rebellion

but I think we're all forgetting the omnious "T" that gets placed in the titles, so maybe...T-4: Rebellion or T-4: Salvation

If John Connor is the salvation of mankind, Christian Bale is the salvation of this franchise. The Sarah Connor Chronicles is dry and redundant; and is it just me, or does Summer Glau play the same damn character for every role in which she's cast?

Anyway, this film must be directly and clearly focused on Bale as Connor. It wouldn't hurt to reference the character somewhere in the title.

As long as it's a Judge Dredd crossover I'm Happy. T4: Judgement Dredd.
