on Aug 03 2007 09:50 PM I still can't figure out why they hired that malformed hag to play Rachel. Rachel McAdams or Lacey Chabert would have been so much better. (Reply to this) |

on Aug 04 2007 03:33 AM In reply to this comment (#1010288) Correction Lacy Chabert would have looked better. She's not half the actress Gyllenhal is. Really neither is McAdams though she might have been in this specific part. (Reply to this) |

on Aug 04 2007 04:37 AM In reply to this comment (#1010777) I'm not saying Gyllenhal isn't a good actress, it's just that she doesn't have the look that would attract an incredibly rich and attractive (and buff!) man who could have anybody. There are plenty of beautiful AND talented actresses out there who could play this part. (Reply to this) |

on Aug 04 2007 05:38 AM Maybe, but a lot of guys in the world who can have anybody want what they can't have. More often than not that's some childhood crush who may or may not be the most attractive woman in the world to someone else. Plus Batman's not exactly going to settle down with some bimbo who's only interested in him for the money now is he? The Batcave would be swarming with villains after she sold the secret during the divorce procedings :). Plus if you're talking about real life as well while Maggie may not be on the high end of the "TV/Movie pretty" cycle as everyday girls go she's still pretty hot. (Reply to this) |

on Aug 04 2007 10:26 AM Maggie Gyllenhal is very very sexy. My husband and I love to watch her. And she's a fantastic actress. I think her sexiness is more subtle, like Lauren Bacall was in the 40's-50's. Maggie isn't wearing wonder bras and cleavage baring blouses to get attention in the press, she's being a great actress and making a name for herself that way. (Reply to this) |

on Aug 04 2007 02:02 PM In reply to this comment (#1011165) Yes, she is a great actress but I think everyone is missing my point. There are beautiful and intelligent women out there who aren't bimbos. Maybe not that many but a man who is at the pinnacle of everything would have no problem finding one. It would be like a billionaire living in a three bedroom two bath house. There is nothing wrong with a house that size for most people but for a man that can afford anything it makes no sense. on Aug 04 2007 03:17 PM We get your point Canuck. You just don't get the point of the character. She's the girl next door, the one he grew up with. Yeah, he can get any kind of super-model chick he wants, but he wants her. You're clearly putting entirely too much importance on appearance. (Reply to this) |

on Aug 04 2007 05:42 PM Ok, if you can watch The Secretary and not think Maggie Gyllenhal is lustworthy, you are either a eunich or mentally handicapped. That's not my personal opinion, mind you, this is law. (Reply to this) |

on Aug 05 2007 11:51 AM Or Stranger than Fiction. She's in my list of understated hotties who can act. She definitely fits the 'girl next door' and 'childhood crush' role. Don't know what the hell the fuss is about. (Reply to this) |

on Aug 05 2007 01:30 PM In reply to this comment (#1013516) If that is your girl next door I feel sorry for you. Both girls who live next door to me are hotter then her. (Reply to this) |

on Aug 05 2007 03:08 PM In reply to this comment (#1013670) In Canada? Now we know that's a lie :) (Reply to this) |
